Cultural Relativism ؛ نسبیت گرایی فرهنگی

Cultural relativism is the view that no culture is superior to any other culture when comparing systems of law, politics, etc. Its rule that all cultural beliefs are equally valid. Cultural relativism is the principle of regarding the beliefs, values, and considering of a culture from the viewpoint and inside that culture itself. In sociology, the principle practiced to avoid judging another culture by the standards of one’s own culture. In other word Cultural relativism refers to figure out a culture on its own terms and not to make judgments applying the norms of one’s own culture.
For better understanding consider the example .The treatment and place of refuges in some campuses in different countries. There is no special right for people, required to obey the host countries ‘rules and so on. The paper tries to increase familiarity of cultural practices that are not typically part of one’s own culture. Applying cultural relativism’s perspective leads to the idea that no one culture is superior than another culture when compared to systems of morality, law, politics, etc.
It is a critical that cultural norms and standard derive their meaning within an absolute social context. Furthermore sociologist believe that there is no specific standard of good or evil, therefore every decision and judgment of what is right and wrong is individually decided in each society. It should be also reminded that any opinion on ethics is subject to the perspective of each person within their particular culture.
Many thinkers in relativisms areas, believe that different cultures have different moral code. These customs cannot be said to be correct or incorrect .There is no such independent standard; every standard is culture-bound. So it’s not good idea to think one culture is better than any other cultures. In a holistic analyzing of the term cultural relativism, the basic attempts are promoting the understanding and acquainting of cultural aspects that are totally unfamiliar to other cultures
To sum up, according to the relativist position, Cultural relativism states people should not judge the behavior of others using the standards of their own culture, and each culture must be analyzed on its own terms.
نسبیت گرایی فرهنگی
نسبت گرایی مفهومی است که در آن یک فرهنگ در مقایسه فرهنگی ، سیستم حکومت و سیاسی نسبت به دیگری برتری ندارد. در واقع نسبت گرایی بیان می کند که عقاید فرهنگی به طور مساوی اعتبار دارند. در مقوله نسبت گرایی فرهنگی هر گونه ارزش و عقیده ای از دیدگاه خود آن فرهنگ مورد بررسی قرار می گیرد.
در واقع از دیدگاه جامعه شناسی نسبت گرایی فرهنگی را یک عامل بازدارنده برای هرگونه قضاوت فرهنگی بر اساس استانداردهای فرهنگ دیگری می دانند. همواره نباید یک فرهنگ بر اساس معیارهای فرهنگی غیر از خود ان مورد سنجش قرار گیرد.
برای درک بهتر این روند می توان به وضعیت پناه جویان در کمپ های مهاجرتی در کشورهای مختلف اشاره کرد. در این شرایط پناه جویان هیچ حقوقی مشخصی ندارند و باید قوانین کشورهای میزبان را بدون هیچ شرطی بپذیرند.
در این گفتار هدف بر این است که رویکردی ایجاد شود که فارغ از فرهنگ خود فرد بتواند دیگری را نیز به راحتی بپذیرد. تنها در این حالت است که می توان انتظار داشت افراد یک فرهنگ سیاسی یا اجتماعی را برتر نشمارند.
باید به این نکته توجه داشت که معیار های اجتماعی هر فرهنگ تنها در دل خود فرهنگ قایل بررسی است. این در حالی است که جامعه شناسان معتقدند که در واقع یک معیار مشخص از خیر و شیر وجود ندارد و برای بررسی هر عمل اجتماعی می بایست ابتدا شرایط فرهنگی آن مورد توجه قرار گیرد. بنابراین دور از انتظار نیست که هر رویکرد فرهنگی را باید از دیده همان فرهنگ خاص بررسی کرد.
بسیاری از متفکران حوزه نسبت گرایی فرهنگی معتقدند که هر فرهنگی ساختار اجتماعی متفاوتی دارد و نمی توان واژه درست یا نادرست را برای یک دیدگاه فرهنگی به کار برد. در واقع یک استاندارد معیار وجود ندارد و مقوله فرهنگی همواره دارای یک ساختار درون وابسته است. با توجه به این تفاسیر برتر شمردن یک فرهنگ خاص کار مناسبی نخواهد بود.
در بررسی جامع مبحث نسبت گرایی فرهنگی ، هدف اصلی آشنایی و درک جنبه های متفاوت فرهنگی است. در نهایت نسبت گرای فرهنگی تلاش دارد بستری فراهم کند درآن یک جامعه فرهنگی با معیار های شخصی قضاوت نشود. تنها در این صورت است که برتری فرهنگی وجود ندارد و هر الگوی رفتاری در بستر خود در نظر گرفته می شود.
